Michelle Christopher-Harris, PhD, LCSW
Michelle Christopher-Harris is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and PhD. She has earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work; a master’s degree in Social Work; a PhD. in Organizational Leadership, Health and Human Service; and an Associate of Arts degree in Theology.
Michelle Christopher-Harris, PhD, LCSW has over 30 years of professional experience, working with populations as diverse as: adoptions, corrections, developmental disabilities, mental health, and partner abuse. She has taught sociology and social work for the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore (UMES) and Salisbury State University (SSU). She also is a national trainer on leadership and various mental health topics. Nationally and internationally, She has lectured and ministered about the role mental health treatment plays in a variety of situations.
She also is an ordained pastor, wife, mother, and grandmother. It was in her role as grandmother where she saw the need to provide a safe place where children can feel free to express themselves, while receiving patient and professional, yet gentle and caring, guidance helping them move past difficult experiences. That is Hopes Helping Hands, LLC.
As an individual, she is dedicated to inspiring positive change. Therefore, she lives by the following principles: No one is beyond redemption; Love is the glue; Success is always possible; and There Is Always Hope.
